Many people are not born into beautiful lives.
Sometimes it’s hard to believe that you have been called into the world to shine and live in beauty…but you have.
Sometimes it takes years of wisdom and experiences to recognize the small everyday things that breathe beauty.
Sometimes we forget to slow down and be gentle with ourselves so our hearts can feel the love of life.
Sometimes it takes years to realize that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Enjoying each and every day can be a life lesson. As we become older we often need less material things and begin to realize the freedom of lightening our load. You start to become the ‘you’ you couldn’t be before, when you realize that it’s a gift to live in the moment without regrets. The Dali Lama tells us that there are two days in our life when nothing can happen: one day is yesterday and the other is tomorrow.
Some of the most beautiful moments are spent in nature.
Walk with the trees….spend time with the wildflowers.
Feeling gratitude for the simple gifts that you used to take for granted…
Waking up to blue skies in the morning…
The flowers in your garden.
One of life’s greatest lessons is realizing that bad days are only temporary. One of my favorites sayings is from Maya Angelou: “Every storm runs out of rain.”
When we learn to forgive others in life because WE deserve happiness, life becomes more beautiful. When we stop holding onto what hurts, it makes room for what feels good.
There are times when your heart knows what your mind doesn’t and you just have to follow it. Sometimes we can’t always be an adult. It’s okay to give yourself permission to change your own rules and just be…to learn to play again.
Set aside a day for all of your favorite things:
eat your favorite foods…
wear your favorite outfit…
listen to your favorite music..
walk in nature.
Take time for the small moments…one after the other…and you are living a beautiful life!
Famous writer and gardener, Vita Sackville West, placed an open window in her legendary garden at Sissinghurst in England, so she could remind herself to always look out at the beauty in the world. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, just look at all the wonder there is to see.
It’s all around you.
Breathe in life and exhale contentment.
Sit down and take the time to let your heart fall in love with life…
and you will become part of the beauty.
